Is it Spring yet?

We all know that Mother Nature doesn't pay any attention to our calendar,

so when we decided spring 'arrived' last week, she promptly laughed in our faces and let it snow.

Today, however, feels decidedly spring-like. (although i wouldn't put it past her to snow on us again...)

 And so, i am going to say buh-bye to winter...

What really went on this winter:

New life was breathed into old places. The dog ate pucks. And infants played hockey. 

We are, after all, Canadian : )
Thanks for the memories winter, now beat it!!!

Hockey Head

I could comment here on how when i took this picture i didn't realize that he was watching a fight,
and how cute i thought the whole late afternoon hockey-with-dad scene was.
I could talk about how i hate that he is exposed to so much violence every single day,
in hockey, tv shows, those ufc commercials on sportscenter every morning, and even his cartoons.
I could tell you all how worried i am that i am doing him irreparable damage,
in this and in so many other ways.

Or i could just say "forget it," (or some other word that starts with the same letter)
and worry about something else... he does, after all, already have the hair.

I'm thinking that at the rate Emmitt is growing he will be an enforcer,

whereas our slight little Jake might be more along the lines of a Gretsky type... just saying ; )

And while I have made it clear that 5am practices are NOT my department,

it will be so fun to teach these guys how to skate and watch them play!!!
